Here’s a personal story about an incident involving Plano (Dallas) automobile insurance. My car had a fault, which only occurred very rarely, and no auto repair shop could diagnose. One day the car just cut out at red lights and wouldn’t start, I put up the hood, and the car behind me stopped. But then, that car was hit by somebody that did not see the stationary vehicles. Later the person that caused the accident made an insurance claim against every person in the line of vehicles, including mine. I was glad that I had local Dallas TX Auto Insurance agent to talk to about this because it went on for two years even though I had done nothing wrong, and my car was not involved.
If I had got auto insurance from a company without a local Dallas office, I would have been very nervous about being covered. In the end my insurance company employed an attorney to get the bogus insurance claim dropped. So it turned out to be not a big problem in the end, but it feels a lot better to have some local agent help when it comes to handling the other insurance company claims, as they are very aggressive and caused a lot of sleepless nights.
